No one set out to make Art Deco lights. They were responding to a design style that became popular during this period and those design elements can be found in furniture and accessories going back to the early 1900s.This fixture actually could be from 1911. The term Art Decoratif was actually coined in the 1950s to describe a collection of design elements related to the machine and technology that distinguishes it from its predecessor Art Nouveau which was more organic.
